As you can see from the photos below, the display garden continues to make progress, and in addition to the irises in raised beds we have a field of irises growing on for sale this coming year.  Later this month we’ll be planting lots of bulbous irises in the display beds: reticulatas and Dutch and English irises.  We’ll see how they do in the climate here in Umbria before deciding whether to add them to our stock for sale.

Meantime, we have finished building our website for online sales of our bearded irises: www.IrisUmbria.it.  Please take a look around.  We are novices at creating an e-commerce website so any comments you may have will be welcome.  At the moment we have only got a few of our irises loaded into the catalogue as each entry takes a while to create but we’ll be adding more in coming months after doing a head count of our stocks.  We currently expect we’ll be supplying up to about 100 varieties in our first year (delivered as bare root plants in autumn of 2017).  We’ll aim to add many more in subsequent years.  Do please bookmark the website and pop back from time to time to check on availability.
